[ltp] T20 / Mandrake 8.2 keyboard problems.

Dear Winston,


Given the errors you quote, I thin you have somehow turned on the
"Numlock" feature on the thinkpad keyboard
- these keys can be made to pretend to be a numeric keypad.

I think there's a way to turn this off from the keyboard itself (not sure
how from memory). Fn-Numlock ?

The "numlock" service may be relevant - this is in Mandrake Control centre
- ad you probably want it disabled.

Alternatively, you may have somehow got your keyboard type mis-set. Use
the Mandrake Configuration Centre, and make sure it is  of the right type and
locale. Eg "British, PC 104  key" or whatever.  Some of these settings
make a large difference, some don't.
