I've got 2.5 hrs out of my T30 on a recent flight. Turning off the
wireless adapter helps a lot.

Wrong. You can't use them below 10,000 feet. In flight they are absolutely
fine. I fly every week on business and its the same for every airline I
fly on. I'm also a pilot and the actual regulations say that any device
that transmits or receives radio signals is illegal during instrument
flight rules (which is every major airline flight). So, technically having
the wireless adapter running could come under this rule, although this
rule is aimed at radio and tv receivers.

However, also remember, that the regulations also give discretion to the
airline to restrict the use of any device they want. So they could ban
everything if they wanted to.
