[ltp] Hibernation, dead hard drive reads

I've been having limited success resuming from hibernation.

All the hardware seems to come back online fine, but Linux
has difficulty reading from the hard drive _right_ after
a resume -- Anything that runs a short time after resume
gets stuck in the 'D' state, and further reads to whatever
it was reading also get stuck, but reading from other places
on the disk works fine.

So, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions (even if
they're "don't hibernate" :) )

System info follows:

Thinkpad 600E 2645-RP1
Linux 2.4.19, DMA/PIIXn tuning enabled

Everything else should be assumed to be what's in
Debian unstable (tpctl 3.0, thinkpad modules 3.0,
using debian's apmd_proxy from pcmcia-cs 3.2.1 to
stop everything, and so on)
