You want the Thinkpad Configuration Utility for DOS. (2 pages away) from 
the link given. If dual booting use control panel->Power management to 
change it (don't know if that is permanent or not).

Hi Robert, 

where can i download this ps2.exe and can i run this ps2.exe in the MS-DOS 

Command prompt env under Windows ? Maybe would! you mind to send me this 
ps2.exe for my TP 600 X please ? i appreciate your help

Sounds like you are in a power saving mode when on AC power. Are you dual 
booting? You might have to get PS2.exe from IBM to set this up properly 
(not a Linux problem).

Hi Robert, 
thanks for your answer. 
It was with the AC Adapter, and it shows only 133 MHz . Do you know where 
the problem might be ? i am a litlle bit frustrated by testing with so 
many linux versions wit! hout luck. I still hope that the problem would be 

solved by! using the latest linux version, but it seems this is not the 
case.

Hi, 

i am gain with a dumb questions , sorry about that. I have installed 
Redhat 8 and meanwhile i have tried with Suse8 on TP 600 X without any 
luck to get it work and still don't know where the problem is . 
after the installation the system has detected my PCU with 134 MHz only. 
Could you tell me where th! e problem is ? Should i us! e different ! 
kernel( 
in 
SuSe there is other kernel like for i386) to recompile ym system ?
