Hi Joan... wow I thought it was just me!  I get this too, using Red
Hat Linux 9 / Fedora with Grip (the front end, using cdparanoia).
Can't swear it's always 80% but it happens on most rips.  I'd assumed
this was a one-off issue but maybe not!  I'm afraid I haven't found a
solution yet, haven't looked too far.  But it may be helpful to at
least have one confirmation on a different install..?
