If you're referring to the internal modem, it's a software (or Winmodem) =
that=20
relies heavily on the underlying OS to work.  There's a site called=20
linmodem.org that may have drivers that you can use to make the thing wor=
k. =20
The linux-thinkpad site can tell you what the modem chipset is for your T=
P. =20
I haven't pursued this problem since I don't use the modem.
