[ltp] Newbie --- Thinkpad 600, Redhat 8.0, Sound?

I gotta chip in here.  I have a 600E (2645-4AU), sound is working, and I can hear the modem dial out.

Any rhyme or reason to any of this?  Do we have any IBM-ers on the list that could lend us their thoughts?  Anyone?  Bueller?  Bueller?
