That's funny, that is exactly why I never use anything but grub. Once 
you take the time to learn how to use it, it will boot anything. Some 
version are unforgiveably ugly, but I've never had to dig for boot 
floppies or rescue disks just to get things going again after a simple 
change like used to happen all the time with the alternatives.
