Well, not really. The lmsensors problem kills your laptop motherboard 
dead, this only kills certain models of LG CDROM drives. And the 
lmsensors problem doesn't yet have a fix, while Mandrake has already 
discovered what is killing the LG CDROM drives (LG decided to "reuse" a 
cache flush command as a reprogram flash memory command!).
