[ltp] APM suspend with 2.6 kernel [long]

All right, I have pretty much isolated the problem.  The culprit is
somewhere in the "big IRQ lock" patchset.  You can find it here:

(you can save the "all diffs" page as the patch)

The clean 2.5.27 kernel suspends, the kernel with the patchset applied
doesn't.  There's also the following treacherous log entry:

  spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7
  apm: suspend: Unable to enter requested state

I have to get up early tomorrow, so I leave the rewarding part to you
guys...  Tomorrow I want answers! ;-)
