[ltp] pre-installation advice?

As I wrote, I'm not totally sure (now having NTFS on the Windows
partition because I wasn't aware of that when I first started the
machine). I read that there's a program called convert.exe in the Startup
Items that's launched, or maybe even somewhere in the registry. A
solution is supposed to be to remove or rename convert.exe from
c:\windows\system32 and then start XP for the first time, then find out
where it's called on bootup and removing that call.
