I'm trying to figure out how to make my new R50p hibernate (Gentoo =
2004.0).
I tried getting the hardware hibernation to work (FAT primary partition, =
use
the IBM hibernation utility) but it wouldn't do it - no response from
Fn+F12. I'd like to get ACPI hibernation working, but I've never played
with it before. I enabled suspend to disk in the kernel, and have the
various ACPI modules loaded, so how do I test it? I'm running 1.5GB or =
RAM
and 2GB of swap, so hopefully that'll be enough...

I hope to have a page up soom on what I've done so far to get things
working, and what I still need help with. Thanks for everyone on the =
list
helping everyone else out - it makes me feel a lot more comfortable =
making
the jump from Windows to Linux as my primary desktop :)
