Not sure if it helps the original poster, but with my T42p I was able to
create myself a single bootable recovery DVD that had the WinXP Pro plus
all the other software. Everything you need to create the recovery DVD
is sitting on the hard disk.

It came out to about 4.5GB, and a single DVD sure beats six or seven
CDs.

It was an interesting exercise, don't think I'll ever use it, but it
might come in handy if I try to sell the laptop once it has become an
obsolete hunk of junk. :)
