http://mr.uue.org/gnulinux/t20/ says it can.  You may wish to post the 
relevant parts of your xorg.conf file--that's the Device and Screen 
sections.  One of the list people will be able to tell you exactly what 
to change to get things working properly.

Get your DefaultDepth set to 16 or 24, make sure you're using at least X 
4.1, make sure you're not using the VESA X module, etcetera.
