Thx Bob now u use your script from the wiki, but i have one question ;)
Why are there two '/sbin/hotplug stop" entries?

Script works fine for me. thx ;)

Btw, in the howto u sayed "/proc/acpi/batteries/BAT0/state"
On my gentoo system its  "/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state".
Duno if this is an error..
