Hi list:

i am runing Debian Sarge on my R50 with 2.6.10 kernel and acpi, then i
compiled ibm-acpi extra driver on top of it. the problem i am experiencing
is, (i think it has been reported too), that i can't suspend to ram
properly, espicially with acpi, i also tried apm but it didn't work
either.

My Fn + F4 doesn't suspend, after i inserted the ibm-acpi modules, cat
/proc/acpi/event, sometimes returns the code correctly for all
combinations, most of the time it returns all codes except for "Fn + F4",
if it does, then i have to wait for about 10 min before i can see it gives
a response to "Fn+F4" again.

doesn't anyone else have such problem? i heard other people reporting
ibm-acpi runs flawlessly, it's really getting me very jealous, which also
reminds me people saying "linux is making easy things harder, harder
things impossible, problems come one after another, but that's what keeps
us going". :)
