Hi

I finally got an IBM Dock II and I tried to use the DVI port but I have no Idea how to use it. Beside Problems about resolutions higher than 1280x1024 I found nothing about it. Somebody mentioned that it is possible to use it but nobody mentioned how. I'm using xorg 6.8.1 with the radeon driver and the only thing I found is the MonitorLayout Option where you can tell him which Monitor to use (LVDS, TMDS, CRT, NONE) but it doesn't affect which one of the external Connectors(VGA/DVI) is used.
The settings in ibm-acpi ("/proc/acpi/ibm/video") does not affect anything but the Readme says that if you use a X driver they might not working.

The second thing is that the docking station only powers up if you boot the thinkpad after connecting it to the docking station. If it is on before the docking station will not power up even if ibm-acpi says it is connected. But I guess this has to do with the Texas Instruments PCI2032 PCI Docking Bridge which is not supported by the linux kernel.
Except of the usb ports the other ports are useable in this state (guess the internal pci/pcmcia slots aren't too) but this might be because they are directly connected to the notebook.

Does anybody have a hint or perhaps an solution to my problems??
