Thank you for your measured reply.

I thought of some research I could do in answer to some of your points. Fo=
r=20
instance, I could look into the language constructs that can change meaning=
=20
depending on changes in formatting (I assumed C language from your example)=
,=20
and then look into reformatting apps to see if all the issues have been=20
covered by someone, or ask if you had thought of specifying that all 'if'=20
statements be written with blocks {} so that the automated processing would=
=20
always apply correctly. I didn't do it today, because we shipped code and =
I=20
was busy with the final build/test tasks.

But I did ponder in the background about these comments I have made,=20
considering why I reacted, what it means, etc.

This is your project, and yes, you may run it as it suits you. It's also a=
n=20
open source project, so the environment is different than what my usual foc=
us=20
is .

So I would say I have mis-spoken here. I was speaking to what I know of=20
Software Development process, and you hadn't asked. We don't have that=20
relationship, so I put my foot in it, and you have my apology for that.

I'm uncertain about writing more about what I thought. On the one hand aga=
in,=20
your measured reply suggests you are open to discussion, and as well I migh=
t=20
owe you an explanation, and I'm fairly certain of my perspective. On the=20
other hand, you didn't ask me, may not agree, and weren't really talking=20
about what I'm thinking - as I said above, I think I misspoke (although at=
=20
first I thought I had something useful to say). I worry that explaining=20
myself might come across as (or be) self-justification.

However I'm more certain that I should apologize as soon as I realize I=20
should, so I'll let this just be my apology.

Regards,
Bret
