	smartctl -a /dev/hda | grep -i Temp

	In my case, this produces (for hda and hdc, both ide drives):

# smartctl -a /dev/hda | grep -i Temp
194 Temperature_Celsius     0x0002   130   130   000    Old_age   
Always       -       42 (Lifetime Min/Max 12/53)

# smartctl -a /dev/hdc | grep -i Temp
194 Temperature_Celsius     0x0002   134   134   000    Old_age   
Always       -       41 (Lifetime Min/Max 13/53)
