Hi

Having searched the net in vain I turn to this forum for help.

Problem: I am using gentoo (kernel 2.4.28) on a Thinkpad 600 quite
happily - with a working Netgear FA511 10/100 netcard. I am unsuccesfull
when trying to use any 2.6.x kernel in which case the netcard stops
working - though the card gets detected after ejecting it and
reinserting it (as showed by lspci and lshw)

lsmod (kernel 2.4.28 (no pcmcia-support in the kernel) + latest pcmcia-cs):
tulip_cb; cb_enabler; ds; i82365; pcmcia_core

lsmod (kernel 2.6.11 (all pcmcia-support enabled) + lates pcmcia-cs):
tulip; pcmcia yenta_socket rsrc_nonstatic; pcmcia_core

lshw is identical between the two kernels but for one thing: where in
kernel 2.4.28 the netcard displays same IRQ as the cardbus bidge (IRQ
11) this is not the case for kernel 2.6.11 where the bridge has IRQ 9
while the card displays no IRQ.

Attempting to load i82365 in kernel 2.6.11 get me a: FATAL: Error
inserting i82365
(/lib/modules/2.6.11-gentoo-r9/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/i82365.ko): No such
device.

Does anyone have help to offer.

Regards
