[ltp] R50e, new kernel, suspend to ram

I have been useing suspend to ram successfully with kernel 2.6.10 for  
weeks.
I compiled a 2.6.14 with the same working .config of the 2.6.10.  
Everything works perfectly but the machine does not suspend. The screen  
only swiches to consol and then right back to X when I run the suspend  
script.
Any clues?
