I just wanted to inform you that Jim's module is working pretty well on my 
T30. I am running FC4 with kernel version 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4. The module is 
loaded directly after the ibm_acpi module. I need to set the auto_eject=1 
option. I am now able to hotswap my DVD/CDRW drive and my additional battery
