Or you can press Fn-F8 and see how it looks.  (This only works before
Linux takes over the keyboard, IIRC.)

Radeons have a nice smooth hardware scaler that gives you output that
looks a bit blurry.  T23 has an S3 video card that just duplicates some
pixels.  It's not pretty.
