[ltp] Vertical scrolling with kernel > 2.6.14

Hey list,

Vertical scrolling (by rubbing the pad on the right side) worked well up
to kernel 2.6.14.4, but with 2.6.15.x or 2.6.16 the synaptics touchpad
seems not to be recognised at boot any longer. I stuck to 2.6.14, but
now that it's still behaving the same with 2.6.16 I should get it fixed.

The lack of topics on this when searching with google suggests that I'm
missing something obvious here... Might have something to do with udev?
