I have a new T60p laptop, here is I get with two identical hard drives
(7200 rpm, 100 GB SATA drive, Model=HTS721010G9SA00, FwRev=MCZIC10H),
one as my primary hard drive, and the second one in the Ultrabay:

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads: 4264 MB in 2.00 seconds = 2132.59 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 150 MB in 3.01 seconds = 49.85 MB/sec

/dev/hda:
 Timing cached reads: 4072 MB in 2.00 seconds = 2037.67 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 82 MB in 3.04 seconds = 26.95 MB/sec

Does anyone know if there is anyway to access a disk drive in the
Ultrabay through the SATA interface, and *not* through the SATA-ATA
converter? Or is that simply not possible. (I note that if I put
Ultrabay carrier containing the same disk drive in the Advanced Dock,
it is accessed as a SATA disk.)
