A short correction there -- switching between lvds and crt1 works, /but/=20
with one serious restriction: output resolution for crt1 cannot exceed=20
output resolution for the lvds if one wants to switch between lvds and=20
crt1 dynamically. Basically, this means that for now I cannot use a 20"=20
LCD panel capable of 1600x1200 dynamically because my lvds manages "only"=
=20
1400x1050, and 1400x1050 looks horrible on LCD with native resolution of=20
1600x1200.

The good news is that for projectors and the like (operating at, what,=20
1024x768 or something similar), I /can/ in fact switch the output=20
dynamically.

Hopefully the other issue will be fixed in next release of fglrx.

Hmm... Bumping the resolution lower than what the lvds supports seems=20
indeed possible. All it takes is the proper Modes-resolution.
