[ltp] HD does not spin down

Hello,

my harddrive does not spin down when in laptop-mode anymore. This is
quite strange since I do not know what has changed and it has worked
like a charm for the last months.

Problem: The disk does not spin down anymore although there is no disk
activity. Invoking "hdparm -y /dev/sda" makes the disk spin down and
leave it in standby-mode for quite some time. "hdparm -S
<whatever_value> /dev/sda" does not make the disk spin down
automatically anymore. That is why laptop-mode has no effect.
"laptop_mode status" shows that the disk is in standby-mode although it
is not. Playing around with "hdparm -B" does not help either.

I do not know where I can find any debugging information to see why the
disk does not spin down anymore. Any help would really be appreciated!

Thanks in advance
Matthias
