I've been using my T61p happily with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS but I am shortly
to buy a firewire soundcard (Edirol Fa-101 / Focusrite Sapphire / Echo
Audiofire) for the machine and I was looking into using a low latency /
realtime kernel.

I was reading that the realtime kernel can play havoc with battery life,
is this correct?

are there any other issues I should be aware of when implementing a
realtime kernel with my T61p?
