[ltp] fingerprint reader heating up (t61)

I can confirm the same issue on my X60s and my T61p, and when it heats 
up (Windows or Linux), it stops responding to any input.

I can bring it back down again by physically cooling the area around 
the reader (fan or lifting it off of the desk for a few minutes, 
cranking up the internal fan, etc.)
