hdapsd in unstable already knows about the new directory. Otherwise,
it's all correct.

Well, I honestly don't know whether it is quite correct to say that list
policy positively forbids top-posting - I'm not aware of it. Also, I
hope it's not my habit to shout at people. So, all I do is advocating a
widely adopted practise because I happen to find it *very* convenient.
It is not quite unlikely that I'll ignore people who keep top-posting
persistently, but that's my choice to (not) spend my spare time and
needn't concern you, of course.
