with VDPAU you should get a very good video performance and 1080p videos sh=
ould not be any problem. But in reality VDPAU depends very much on the spec=
ific hardware. If you like check some threads on the forum of http://www.nv=
news.net/. Nvidia says that some video cards seemingly are faulty and they =
have no idea why VDPAU does not work on it. I don't know if I should believ=
e it or if their software is buggy. Anyhow until yet I haven't found any wa=
y to bring VDPAU up to work for my Nvidia 9500GT which is in the list of ca=
rds on which VDPAU should work.
