Sort of:

1/2) Intel is still the undisputed king of open graphics support.  Last
I heard, Optimus *really* didn't play well with Linux (although I have
absolutely no experience with it.)

3) FlexView is no longer an option (TN panels are your only choice.)

4) Atheros support is pretty solid, but given that on new models you can
almost always upgrade to Intel WLAN for free, there's not much point.
I'm not even sure if Lenovo offers Atheros cards any more.
