 Ok I googled around, surprise: in germany amazon offers 
Lenovo USB Modem 56k V.92 
U.S. Robotics 56K* USB Modem Modem extern 56000 bps USB V.92


Does anybody knows whether they work under Linux.

But they around 40 to 50 Euros, well....
