[ltp] T61 wakes up in the backpack

Lately my T61 started waking up all by itself while it was in my
backpack, being carried around.  I suspect a broken lid switch.
Is there any way I could verify my theory?

I've studied dmesg and failed to notice any reason given for the
wakeups.

I'm sure it would be possible to speed apport up a lot, after we're done
making boot and login instantaneous.
