Hi!

I wrote in another thread I was reluctant to try out sensors. But after I=20
didn=B4t found the warning in ThinkWiki anymore and the warning was about=20
really old ThinkPads, I dared to run sensors-detect and to say yes to all=20
questions. I got:

merkaba:~> tail -4 /etc/modules
# Generated by sensors-detect on Wed Sep 14 19:54:58 2011
# Chip drivers
coretemp
sbs

merkaba:~> sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +51.0=B0C (crit =3D +98.0=B0C)

thinkpad-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
fan1: 1966 RPM

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0: +51.0=B0C (high =3D +86.0=B0C, crit =3D +100.0=B0C)
Core 0: +47.0=B0C (high =3D +86.0=B0C, crit =3D +100.0=B0C)
Core 1: +48.0=B0C (high =3D +86.0=B0C, crit =3D +100.0=B0C)

Is there anything more to it? The sbs module seems related to battery but=20
sensors doesn=B4t display anything regarding to it.

About the RPM speed I wrote already. It dropped considerably from=20
2600-2850 rpm during normal usage to 1950 to 2000 rpm and the ThinkPad is=20
really quiet. This must have happened after some updates. It might even be=
=20
related to the BIOS update I did for "ThinkPad T520: uefi/gpt debian=20
install". Anyway I am fond of it.

Ciao,
