That seems rather a long time - does dmesg say anything interesting?
BUT, resume from hibernate (suspend to disk) always takes quite a while, 
often longer than a reboot.

Why not use suspend to RAM (which is much faster, and still gives you > 
3 days - or the hybrid mode (suspend to disk, then suspend to RAM; 
resume from RAM if possible; resume from disk otherwise)?

Btw, which kernel version are you using?
