dunno about the mwave stuff
but the reason you can't seem to ping anything may be a problem 
with the gateway.  
you might try checking to see if it has been properly assigned.


you can disable certain resources from pcmcia's perspective
i can't remember the file but its
in etc somewhere 
just look for the lines that tell it not to use certain memory 
addresses
you should be able to do the same for IRQ3 and get it to assign 
something different.  I don't know if this will help but seems worth
a shot.  anybody else want to chime in?
