ftp://rawhide.redhat.com/redhat/linux/rawhide/i386/RedHat/RPMS has a sort
of "rolling alpha" set of RPMS, updated every couple of weeks. In particular,
there have been two or three successive XFree86-4.1.0 RPM sets.
I tried a XFree86-4.0.99 a month or so ago, and it seemed painless enough,
but at that time still didn't adequately support my Savage MX, so I grabbed
the SRPM, built & installed it, then downloaded the Savage-4.0 driver source,
compiled that against the tree and reinstalled the Savage driver. I can't
speak to the current XFree86-*-4.1.0-0.9.4.i386.rpm's.
Be sure to read ftp://rawhide.redhat.com/redhat/linux/rawhide/README and
be ready to roll back to a previous state in case something goes wrong (which
it could).
OTOH, ftp://updates.rawhide.com/7.1/ has an updated XFree86-*-4.0.3-5
RPMs that also have the latest Savage driver.
