[ltp] Any Gotchas for A22P and RH7.1/Mandrake 8.0?

Hi:

I have just bought a new A22P with CDRW and 1GHZ Pentium III.  I want to run
either RH 7.1 or Mandrake 8.0 and have searched around for A22P info with either
release but have found nothing so far.

Does anyone have any suggestions on which way to go?  I ran Mandrake 7.1 on my
770 ED and liked it a great deal, but from previous postings I understand that
the latest release of Mandrake 8.0 may have problems with Thinkpad mouse and
XFree requiring me to back-level the kernel to 2.2...

Also, I saw the postings on LM-Sensors and looked to see if the A22P was listed
and it wasn't, but I was wondering if this is still a danger for me (I believe
both releases install this package by default).

Any suggestions on which release is best/safest/easiest to install?  Any
warnings or gotchas for my model would also be appreciated.

I will post all feedback to the list for those contemplating an A22P install.  

BTW, If anyone has an XFree Config file for the A22P please let me know what
settings I need for high resolution.
