The problem described in my last message has been resolved. For some
reason unknown to me the recovery CD installed w98 on the new hard drive
after I reinstalled the bios ITET54WW and made the following changes in
the bios: Quick boot - Enable, CPU S/N - Disable, F12 boot - Disable,
Start up/Power on/ - Floppy, CDrom, HDD1, HDD2. Which one of these was
exactly the culprit is a mystery to me.
Regards,
Boyan.

>Hello,
>quite a strange problem after I upgrade today the hard drive to

>it starts copying files and stops saying: "The recovery process
>failed. Please reboot he computer and try again.": and on other

>Had anyone encountered similar problem?
>The problem is not the hard disk, for I installed linux (suse

>the change of the HDD ID?
>A medicine or a hint will be greatly appreciated.
