[ltp] T23 and external monitor

Hi All!
I have Debian Woody running on a T23 (SuperSavage Graphics)
with XFree 4.1.0.1...

I don't seem to be able to use an external monitor with a good refresh
rate. All I get is 1280x1024/60 hz, but 75 or more would be much better.

I am using the savage driver from  www.probo.com/timr/savage40.html
and setting the modeline in XF86Config is not working...

Anybody already done this ??
