Actually, here what I get when installing nsc-ircc module (my kernel is
2.4.12)
[root@skohorod /etc]# modprobe nsc-ircc
/lib/modules/2.4.12/kernel/drivers/net/irda/nsc-ircc.o: init_module: No
such device
