[ltp] thinkpad hardware repair?

Hi, this is not Linux-specific but the trackpoint device on my 600E has
failed so I need to have the machine fixed in a shop.  Could someone
please point me to good places to get a ThinkPad repaired?  I got the
technician manual and followed their directions for re-seating the
cables (didn't help me) and their next step is to replace parts.  Also,
if someone knows a shop local to the SF Bay Area in California/USA it
would be very helpful.  Thanks,
