Anybody having any issues with Xfree 4.3 and a T30 notebook with a ATi
Radeon Mobility 7500? I just installed SuSE 8.2 and every time X starts
up I get the following error message in /var/log/messages:
mtrr: 0xe8000000,0x1000000 overlaps existing 0xe8000000,0x800000
Here is my entire current /proc/mtrr:
reg00: base=0x00000000 ( 0MB), size= 512MB: write-back, count=1
reg01: base=0x20000000 ( 512MB), size= 256MB: write-back, count=1
reg02: base=0x2ff80000 ( 767MB), size= 512KB: uncachable, count=1
reg03: base=0xe8000000 (3712MB), size= 16MB: write-combining, count=2
reg04: base=0xe0000000 (3584MB), size= 64MB: write-combining, count=1
I tried disabling reg03, since that memory base seems to be the one
having issues, but this didn't work. The best part is that I *think*
it's related to my issue with Gnome2/gtk2 based apps bombing out when I
try to run them. Weird, huh? Everything else (KDE/gtk1) is fine.
Any ideas as to where I should start looking to troubleshoot this?
