Not quite. When you ask for suspend, you will suspend (save state to
volatile memory) but *also* save your state to hard disk as is done
during hibernation, so that you can resume quickly (as from suspend),
but should you run out of power while suspended (or your battery is
removed), you can resume as from hibernation.
ReadySafe is good for you. Enable it.
