Most hospitals carry a product from Allegiance Healthcare Corp called
"Whisk Adhesive Remover Pad". It's used to clean off excess adhesive
from patient's skin. The adhesive is from the protective film that is
used to cover the patient's IV site. They come packaged like the mini
hand towlettes you get at some restaraunts, 2.5" square.
I asked the nurse for a couple of these at the hospital I work for. The
have worked great at removing adhesive from products that come with
tenacious product sticker without leaving a residue behind.
I have also seen them for retail sale to the public at most Surgical
supply stores. CVS might laso carry them, ask the pharmamcist. I used
them to take off the residue from 2 Wintel stickers of of my Thinkpad
with no ill effects.
I always carry a few around now, they redeuce the energy expended trying
to get that last little residue off of your favorite new toy.
Good Luck
