[ltp] Dual monitor setup on T42p, anyone? (partially solved)

For what it's worth, in continuation of my previous quest...
I have installed ATI's fglrx driver and got two monitors working LCD and CRT
(no luck with the DVI still).
The problem I encountered was that when I configured it for one bid desktop
(like what I had before with Xinerama) I got the machine hang a couple of
times in the first hour. The machine was actually alive, the picture on the
screen was frozen and the mouse and the keyboard were dead. I could ssh into
it and there was no X running!
Anyway I tried another setup with two separate desktop and so far it's been
running OK for the whole day. It's not really what I would want ideally but
much better than a single screen ;-)
