[ltp] t41p - /proc/acpi/fan with 2.6.8.1

hi all,

i am wondering how my system should be able to control the temperature, 
although there is no entry in /proc/acpi/fan... my kernel config has 
"fan" activated under ACPI-options. does anybody with a similar 
configuration have an entry in that folder? i just got a bit worried as 
the temperature grew up to 75C during compiling without great 
fan-activity...
