[ltp] How to use the modem in V.92 mode (Thinkpad T40p)?

Hello.

Some ISPs support V.92, at least partially (e.g. Quick Connect, but
no Modem on Hold).
Thinkpad T40p has a SmartLink AMRMO modem.
How can I use V.92?
Preferably with wvdial and SuSE 9.0,
but other solutions are welcome too.
