Well, yesterday I disabled screen blanking in BIOS and after that it ran well
the rest of the day. Today the problem came back and it was the same using an
external monitor. It would also crash every time pretty hard.

IBM (Lenovo) service suspects faulty graphics card, so they are probably going
to change the motherboard. I'm glad the warranty is so long (appears to be even
more than the original 3 years).
